BOUDIN, Circuit Judge. This case involves a dispute about insurance coverage arising out of a motor vehicle accident in Puerto Rico. The appellant United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company ("USF&G") is an insurance carrier which, along with other carriers, was held liable for a portion of the judgment in favor of the victims. USF&G contends that its policy did not cover the accident at all and, alternatively, disagrees with the apportionment of liability among insurers. On both issues--liability and apportionment--we conclude that the district court reached the right result on the unusual record before it and affirm.
